Love God
Our version of a morning basket, each day has a few subject specific devotional books. Science is the study of the physical and natural world that God created, so our Science Day begins with devotionals centred on Creation. We have a playlist of creation themed worship music that we listen to while getting ready for the day before starting Science Day in awe of God’s creation and power through our devotion resources.

Love Learning
We have a couple curriculums we really enjoy on Science Day: Apologia and Berean Builders. They are both excellent introductions to the fundamentals of science. Our fun stuff is easy to find on Science Day as both resources centre around easy experiments which use common household items.
We use Apologia as our main science book. Each chapter includes multiple experiments sprinkled throughout, and the kids love it.
Berean Builders is another favourite that we incorporate into our day. This text looks at science through the lens of history, providing an entirely different experience. We are currently working through Science in the Ancient World. My oldest especially enjoys this resource, as he absolutely loves history.

Love
Each Other
The best part about subject themed days is the room it creates for fun. Kids learn through play. But play does so much more than just teach. Play also nurtures a love of learning, creates opportunities for connection and makes great memories.
