If ever I was an advocate for gentle homeschooling,
interest led learning,
it is now.
These precious littles being fostered in our home need
structure, consistency, and boundaries
But they also need understanding, patience, kindness,
and to know that they are
important, valuable, and cherished.
They need to learn in an environment where
they feel safe, unconditionally loved, and
free to be who God created them to be.
Our hope is to create
A joyful learning environment...
what does that mean?
To us, it's a place
in which children…
Have time to play freely
and explore independently
See learning as a natural and exciting part of life
Experience learning actively
Have access to good books and people to share them with
Observe nature and spend plenty of time outdoors
Interact with others to build and strengthen relationships
Are treasured for their uniqueness and shown the love of Christ
Enjoy the freedom to express themselves through words, dance, art, music, and/or performance
Share their ideas and answers without fear or criticism
are encouraged to follow their interests and passions.
I love this post by Mary at Homegrown Learners,
encouraging us to homeschool without fear!
