I have to tell you that
I'm just not that big on Valentine's Day.

It just seems a little out of control for my taste.
Sometimes I think the message of love
gets lost in all the fluff.

I believe that we should show love to others...
every day,
all the time...

not just on this one special day.
Now I'll be the first to admit that it's hard for me to do that sometimes,
especially if I don't feel great or
if the person in question is being a little difficult at the time;)

So, what I do like about this time of year is that
we are reminded to be intentional

and to take the time to verbalize just how much someone means to us.

Why not take just a few minutes today and tell someone how you feel.

I found this free printable to use.
It makes it simple to list the ten things you love about a person.
Go ahead...it will only take a few minutes,
but I bet it will have lasting results:)

And the best part about it?!
You can do it any time...not just on Valentine's Day!

I love this! I am totally with you on not really being into Valentine's Day, too. :-)

Totally agree that Valentine's Day is way out of control. We don't do anything on Valentine's day anymore....I would rather do random little "love" things during the year......like fresh flowers for the table anytime - don't go spending $$$ on Valentine Flowers....everyone gets them that day.....I want to get them just because and then it is my special day :)

I SO agree Jenn. Keilee and I were just talking about this yesterday. Everyday should be a day you show love to people you 'love'. I saw the printable on Instagram. Off to check it out! Thanks.

We are not big on Valentine's Day either. I did get Jason a nice gift, but it was something we had been talking about for a long time and he would have gotten it anyway. It was just fun to do it today. Otherwise, the girls got a candy chemistry kit, also it was just a good excuse to get them a science kit they were interested in. I think the idea of gifts and dinner out is just a little over the top.

I so agree! I think once Hallmark gets a hold of anything, it becomes so commercialized. It saddens me what has become of Easter and Christmas. I love the printable. What a wonderful idea for any day of the year.

Thank you for the wonderful printable link! This year, I made my own cards for the kids - three hearts tied to a single string and on the back wrote what I love about them. Of course because I'm all thumbs, it didn't turn out exactly as I planned...so bless you for the pre-made printable!
