Honestly, 2012 was not my favorite year. We experienced a lot of stress and heartache. There was joy too though, and that's what I choose to look back on this last day of the year.
When we were visiting my mom the other day, one of the girls used my phone to snap this pic of an old photo of my dad with President Truman (his namesake). One of my all time favorite photos of my dad and now I can carry it with me wherever I go:)
Just Plain Nora was published!
The girls changed so much from this photo taken last January. They both grew and M., my baby, started to lose her baby face.
She somehow graduated from making mudpies to baking cupcakes and starting her own cupcake business!
A. developed a love for basketball and learned how to use her height to her advantage!
Both girls raised hens from chicks and started an egg business. It hasn't been easy for them to divide the duties and share the responsibility, but they've got it figured out now and have learned a lot of important life lessons.
There's no better place for free (or cheap) family fun and learning than our state and national parks. We love the junior ranger pr0gram!
We spent so much time on the road this year...we are thankful for traveling mercies and that we call this beautiful place home.
Last year, our trampoline broke, and we finally decided to replace it this spring. If the weather is nice, that's where you will find the girls:)
We spent a lot of time with family this year...so many good memories were made:)
I'm not sure where the time went, but A. became a teenager!
Her photos and determination to follow her passions both amaze and inspire me.
And Hutch works tirelessly to love and support his family. I could ask for no greater blessing!
I heard this verse yesterday at church and it has stayed with me-
"...Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you."
Joshua 3:5
Happy New Year! I hope you are able to reflect upon the joys and 2012 as you look forward to the wonders of 2013.
